Should The LMPD Get Outside Help With The Search For Andrew Compton?

Should The LMPD Get Outside Help With The Search For Andrew Compton?

I received an email today from a concerned citizen who asked the following questions via. email:

“I was just wondering if you knew any reason why they changed his trial date from January 2012 to April 2012. Andrew and his family deserve justice sooner rather than later. Also, since they just searched 9 days in the landfill for the body have you thought of asking the police of contacting a search team that is based in Texas but they search for people all the time and they probably find peoples remains all the time. The name of the search team is Texas Equsearch and the website to e-mail the founder is www.texasequusearch.org.”  | Mission StatementAbout TES

1. The reason why the changed his trial date from January 2010 to April 2010 is not known to me, but I will work to find out the answer to that question.

2. I will forward on the information about Texas Equsearch to the proper people, and use this as a suggestion.  You, like many people who are following this story feel the same way you do, and the LMPD may need outside resources to perform the job that they seem to be incapable of.  Trust me, we need to mobilize our efforts to let the LMPD know that we are not going to remain silent, and that Andrew Compton’s body needs to be found.

I appreciate your email, it is these types of emails and messages that keep me motivated and strong – because sometimes I feel like not many people care.  I am glad that you and select other members of the community do feel as you do, and I will continue to work to bring Andrew and his family some justice and closure.

Sincerely,
Jake A. Wheat
