I have never used a travel app, and since I have never traveled outside of the Country I had never even considered it – until now!  Mobiexplore has released an app called “mx Great Britain Guide” and it’s absolutely amazing, because it has everything you need to visit Great Britain and not feel like a “tourist!”

The transport icon on the app will help you book low cost flights, book a transfer online, or rent a car with the best rates.  It also provides a guide to “Getting To Britain” including : 1. Flight and Airport Information.  2. Eurostar Train Information. 3. Eurotunnel Train Information. 4. Ferries.  5. Coaches.  The benefits and perks of using each one of these transportation methods are provided in detail, with contact and phone number information (including websites) so you can get assistance if necessary!

My favorite is the “Discover” icon, which has the following sub-categories: Music, Haunted Places, Legends, Secret Britain, National Parks, Theme Parks, and World Heritage.  For instance, did you know that there is an area in Great Britian called “Pindle Witch Country” which is located in the Lanchashire Pennines and is dominated by a dark brooding mass called “Pendle Hill.”  Nearby is the site of Britain’s most famous (and most grim) witch trial, which is explained in gory detail on the app in the description. There are many haunted locations, and numerous theme parks – all of which made me want to pack my bags and leave immediately!  This is definitely one of the most informative apps for travel we have run across, and it only gets better from here!

This app helps you “book an accommodation”  with over 9,000 hotels in the United Kingdom to choose from!  Yes, you can book it all from your phone, and if you need help there is a easy to use “trip advisor” plug-in to help you with your choices!    Food is no problem, because the application allows you ways to discover the taste of Britain!  You can locate places to have afternoon tea, wine, beer, cider tours – and even a locator to find restaurants by cities!  Now that is what I am talking about!

A unique feature of the application called “Go-To” allows you to get more information about destinations from A to Z!  For instance, selecting London allows me to book a tour online, learn about the culture and heritage, and locate MY FAVORITE … museums and galleries!  Could this not be the miracle application for the person who wants to experience as much of the UK as possible?!  Did I mention this is all on from an application on your phone?!   I am so ready to book a flight right now, I may use the app and just do it!

You can also go shopping with the help from the “mx Great Britain Guide” Android App – which shows you various stores and shopping centers, along with Britain’s most popular markets, and something called “Royal Shopping.”  ”Royal Shopping” is where you can find the 850 Royal Warrant holders ranging from grocers to … you name it…. that have one thing in common, which is providing the highest level of service!   If you want to know more about “Royal Shopping,” please download the app and read it for yourself!

The Info button on the app gives you instant access to important phone numbers, such as emergency lines and tourist information!  Another cool feature of this app shows areas of Great Britain that provides you access to Wi-Fi!  Yep, free Wi-Fi!   It would be my dream to have my laptop out in the UK, sitting at a place to get afternoon tea, and blogging myself into bliss using this app as my personal tour guide!  Indeed, I have made up my mind – I am going to book myself a vacation to Great Britain using this app!  It’s a done deal!

Clicking the News icon gives you the ability to get weather, browse events, and even book tickets for theatrical performances right from your phone!  That gives you access instantly to the VIP “in-the-know” on seeing the best shows, and attending the most exclusive special events that other “tourists” don’t know about!  Last but not least, the application allows you to share your photos from your trip on various social networks, and also gives you videos so that you can watch and see for yourself things to do!  These videos include: Festivals, cheese rolling, extreme sports, fish markets, and much much more!
