Jake Wheat’s soon to be released book “Color or Die” may be causing a controversial stir with publishers and literary agents from Hell, but it’s spit-shined & polished front and back covers are here and approved!  ”There are two versions of the cover, one of them is the censored version which will be on the paperback, and the other an uncensored version and will be for a special edition hardback – which has a back and front cover model,” Wheat said.

The censored version has cover model Adam Rondeau on the front with a ‘model to be named later’ on the back, both “murdered” thanks to graphic designer and photoshop artist “Ethanox.”

“Nudity, male nudity especially, is still very taboo in American culture.  Women can be naked all over the place in cinema, magazines, and even on late night TV.  However seeing the male penis is still a huge shock to people, so I pretty much decided to put penises in everyone’s face,” laughed Wheat.  ”Yeah, I said that, take it how you want.”

Releasing in a couple weeks, “Color or Die” will be Wheat’s sixth book, the second which contains line art that can be colored by adults.  The book is strictly for adults only, and contains graphic violence, nudity, cannibalism, and other taboo topics.

“I can’t wait for this book to be released, because it has been a real labor of love.  It has also been very challenging for me, because it was part of the National Novel Writing Month, and required 50,000 words and over thirty line art illustrations of death and evil,” Wheat said.”   The novel is (again) illustrated by artist Michael McPhee, and is above and beyond what Wheat published in “This Is NOT Your Kid’s Halloween Coloring Book.  ”I told Michael what I wanted him to draw, and each time crossed my fingers hoping he wouldn’t tell me I went to far,” Wheat laughed.
